Zone heating is not a new concept and has been practiced widely in many parts of the world, and it is a great way to save money. The premise is quite basic: Turning back the central heating system in your home and using a high efficiency wood, gas, or pellet stove in selected areas for additional warmth in the rooms used most often allows you to dramatically reduce total home heating costs.
